ACCORDING TO THE FOLKS AT TMZ Olympic hurdler Lashinda Demus — who won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics — says her husband tried to strangle her and threatened to kill her … and she’s now desperate for protection has learned.Demus just got a temporary restraining order against her husband, Jamel Mayrant — who was arrested and jailed a couple of weeks ago for domestic violence. She claims the attack left her with bruises and a lump on her head.The restraining order also protects their twin 6-year-old boys and her parents — because she claims he threatened all of them as well.Demus also claims her husband is trashing her and damaging her career, saying in court docs, “I’m a professional athlete … so I need no derogatory emails, pictures, texts, phone calls released about me on the web or to other people.”

Cnn According to various news sources Carrie Ann Billups, 26, pleaded guilty to child abuse after the toddler got high from $10 worth of the drug he discovered hidden under her bedroom lamp in Nov. 2012.Billups told cops she woke up one morning at her Chesapeake home to see her kid sniffing the white powder.RELATED: ‘CRACK BABY’ STUDY OVERTURNS COMMON ASSUMPTIONSTaking the drug away, she held off on taking him to hospital as she didn’t want to get into trouble.But hours later he started vomiting.She took him to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters where a urine test confirmed he’d ingested the drug.
She told police that she discovered her son snorting the drug when she awoke the next morning.The boy was treated at a hospital and released.According to the paper, Arrington stated, “I don’t think a 4-year-old would know how to snort cocaine unless he’s seen it done somewhere,” and that the court is concerned about the safety of the child if the mother continues using the drug.
