The Affordable Care Act has been upheld and is currently in effect, even after the Government shut down and all of the press on it. There are currently more than 48 million Americans without health insurance and these are the folks who are looking to enroll in one of the insurance marketplaces by December 15 in order to have their coverage start on January 1.
With all the backlash that the Affordable Care Act has been getting, everyone is continuing to try to find issues with this new form of healthcare system. Well you don’t have to look any further because the new issue now are all the glitches in the website HEALTHCARE.GOV
The sign up hasn’t been so easy. President Obama told KCCI, “I am the first to acknowledge that the website that was supposed to do this all in a seamless way has had way more glitches than I think are acceptable.”
So because there are glitches, people are losing their minds and have added another reason why the Affordable CAre Act was not ready to take place.
Technical problems with the federal website made signing up online difficult for some users. The high volume of traffic to the insurance exchange portal contributed to these problems.
President Obama is expected to address the nation some time today to discuss these issues and ways how people can still sign up fast and easy, while the issues are being fixed. Read More
